The Independent Investor (TII) is a digital newsroom covering early-stage businesses across emerging economies. It’s team of writers, investors, and entrepreneurs believe that accurate reporting and radical transparency are essential to supporting the future of business in the Philippines and Southeast Asia. Bold and unconventional in coverage, the newsroom shines a light on the founders and investors overlooked by traditional channels by sharing the most interesting grassroots stories from the Philippine early-stage ecosystem, and eventually increasing its scope to cover the rest of Southeast Asia. .
TII aims to build a platform for open discourse, where audiences can participate in a collaborative journalistic process—sharing insights, voicing opinions, and asking questions.
